ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Imbrus. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Diassarion (Bronze, 23 mm, 6.81 g, 1 h), time of the Severans, circa 193-235. Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet. Rev. ΙΜΒΡΙΩΝ Apollo standing front, head to left, holding phiale in his right hand and kithara in his left. BMC 9. Lindgren II 885. SNG Copenhagen 964. Very rare and unusually attractive. Minor roughness, otherwise, very fine.
